Here at Eboney Day Care, we strive to enhance the lives of elderly adults and to provide comfort and peace of mind for their families.
At our older persons day centre, no two days are the same. We pack a lot into a day! With multiple group activities like games, crafts, quizzes, bingo, fitness, and more. We have films and music all worked in to our entertainment schedules to keep everyone entertained. We encourage participation but don’t insist on it. Our care team actively encourages relationship building and conversation. We aim for everyone to have a great day and meet new people.
We also have an onsite cook who provides a two course homecooked meal daily to all service users. She caters for all different diets, e.g. diabetic, vegetarian, soft diet, gluten free, etc.
We also understand the difficulties some people may experience travelling to and from the centre, so we have our own minibuses which are used to pick service users up and drop them off at their home comfortably, conveniently and safely.
We always welcome family, friends and social workers to call in for a coffee and a chat and we organise regular get-togethers, whether it be a coffee morning or just a pop in, your loved ones can join us.
Living alone can be very lonely, especially for elderly people. Eboney Day Care gives individuals the opportunity to socialise and make new friends whilst encouraging them to get out of the house and into the community, building a peer care network around them. Our Day Centre undoubtedly benefits older people wondering how to cope with loneliness.
Eboney Day Care can accommodate up to 41 people at any one time across both of our Day Centres and believe in treating everyone as individuals, as everyone’s individual needs are very important to us.
We are fully dementia friendly. Our dedicated care team have substantial experience and qualifications in supporting dementia diagnosis.
